Hello London from New York
NYC students in Central Park New York
All over the world bowls is played by thousands of people, young as well as elderly, from all walks of life who not only enjoy the sport but have also added a new dimension to their lives. No matter what the ability the social aspect of bowls clubs is very important to all those who take part. There are many disabled and blind bowlers who have found that they can take part and compete by belonging to their various organisations. The purpose of this website is simply to add awareness of the many bowls clubs that do exist in London's thirty two boroughs and the surrounding Home Counties. Bowls clubs come in all sizes, some are very competitive whereas others are less so, but they all have one thing in common. They are great to belong to for meeting new friends, for adding a bit of social life or even become a champion bowler.
Generally the outdoor bowling season begins late April until the end of September/ early October but their are indoor bowling centres which are available in the winter time. It is the intention of the web-master to include as much information as possible about outdoor lawn bowling clubs and indoor bowling centres in London and the adjoining Home Counties.
Bowls really is a sport for all......
